Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report changes in the individual's condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Promote a safe and comfortable environment for individuals by maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Respect and uphold resident rights, privacy, and dignity at all times
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for individuals under your care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for individuals
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with individuals under your care
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Experience in providing direct support to individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Understanding of hospice care principles is a plus
- Experience working with people on the autism spectrum is desirable
